Eliquis half life is approx 12 hrs, so by 2 days, it will be excreted from your system. Accidental overdose of one extra dose is not necessarily going to be a problem;skip the next dose and take the meds thereafter as scheduled. Avoid any other blood thinners over the next couple of days and avoid strenuous exertion, you should be fine. Keep drinking adequate amount of fluids to flush your system.

In the past I never had a problem with taking acetaminophen, now a small round itchy rash shows up on my right hand between my thumb & index finger hours after taking it. Why? I'm on apixaban, what else can I take if I can't take acetaminophen?
I think I took a double dose of my Eliquis. Supposed to take 5mg every morning & evening. I forgot I had already taken it & think I took 10mg in the AM instead of just 5mg. Will I be okay? Maybe just more side effects??
Mom was on eliquis, stopped for a week, started again yesterday, but legs are hard today. She is paralyzed since May with t12 anterior cord syndrome.
