Aortic ectasia is mild dilation of the aorta typically less than 3.0 centimeters. So 2.9 cm fits in that category.

Over 2.1 cm would be borderline but under 3 Is still felt to be ok. You're a little young for the ectasia often seen in elderly people. You obviously don't have an aneurysm. Your cardiologist can further advise you. I don't think you need further testing at this time.
