Different colors in feces has a lot to do with what is in the diet. Since he likely has not been eating what he normally eats, the stool is a different color. As he begins eating normally, the stool should go back to its usual color. If it doesn’t, then have him evaluated by his doctor. Glad he is feeling better! Good luck to both of you!

Tan or clay colored stool should be considered normal transitional stool.
