Hair testing reflects any drug taken while the hair is formed. Human hair grows out about 1/2 inch/month. If hair formed when the oxy was taken is tested detection would depend on the sensitivity of the test. The "good for" definition is generally listed on the prescription bottle. The shelf life of meds varies, but the pharmacist gives out drugs that would not expire during the prescription dates
