On my ear lobe on the back of it i have a small/ hard lump on it. it's actually on the lobe. very painful to the touch. what could it be?

Skin cyst: This lump is probably an inflamed or infected skin cyst, or sweat or oil glad. If this was a pierced area then it might be infected cyst. Try applying warm compresses. If it spreads to involve the rest of the ear especially the cartilage part then seel medical care.

Sebaceous cyst: Most common diagnosis - sebaceous cyst. Usually has to be excised. See facial plastic surgeon for best results.
