It is a blind spot in the central vision or peripheral vision? That makes a difference in the possibilities of what could be wrong. The best thing to do is to see an eye doctor and get a full eye exam. Tests may also be needed-including visual field testing-to map out exactly where the blind spot is located so that diagnosis and treatment can be rendered. Good luck!

"Blind spots" in the visual field may be due to retinal pathology or disorders of visual pathways in the brain. A true focal "blind spot" enlargement may be found associated with increased intracranial pressure syndromes and may be an early sign of visual risk in pseudotumor cerebri.
