If i took .5 mg of xanax ( only take it once a day) and then 8 hrs later took 5mg of cyclobenzaparine to help sleep, is that ok?

You do not declare why you are taking these two medications, and at higher dosing, the combined side effects can cause sedation, confusion, imbalance, and falling. Best to contact the doctor who prescribed this in the first place and obtain advice on how and when to use each. It is not our role at this site to approve or disapprove of your medications.

The perceived effects of Alprazolam are not lasting more than 4 h on average, it’s half life is longer averaging 10-12 h. The dose of cyclobenzaprine is relatively low and for isolated use you may experience augmented sedative effects from the combination. Never a good idea in the long run, take meds as prescribed.
