Yes, you can pass herpes even when there is no visible outbreak. But, there are treatments that can decrease your outbreaks so see your doctor for treatment and advice on preventing transmission. Good luck!

Technically yes but most likely not. Definitely you can pass herpes during an outbreak. When there is not an outbreak the certainty of not passing herpes is not for sure. That is why when you take medication for supressing herpes it is continuous both to help prevent an outbreak for yourself and to prevent passing it to others. If you would like to prevent spreading herpes, take daily medication.
