Blood clot as a complication of oral contraceptives is mainly seen in smokers and women above 35 years of age. This side effect also dependent on the strength of estrogen component, especially for venous thrombosis. Most components of oral contraceptives will be out of the body within 2 weeks so the effect on coagulation should be gone by then. Take care!
