When i drink the same amount of alcohol i did drink on one night now effects me differently the next day. next day i feel confused and hard to focus but it is temporary and gets well after a day. possible permanent brain damage?

Not knowing the full details of your alcohol consumption, cannot comment on whether you are developing alcoholic brain damage such as Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome.
