A member asked:

Can allergies make you snot or boogers green?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergies can provide the excess mucus flow. Comon bacteria simply living on the moisture and sugar in that mucus will add color. By itself the color does not mean it is infected, just that some germs are present. In the absence of other findings, it is just germs living there like they do all over your skin surfaces.
