My 2.5 year old had 1st hep b shot on fri & has presented with dermographism urticaria everyday since despite antihistamines. we've consulted with primary doc & urgent care doc, with no change. should i be worried? should he get the 2nd shot?

He may need a short course of steroids to control a reaction. Monitor temperature and breathing. Watch for signs of distress. The second vaccination is important in the series. If there is no systemic reaction, he may be observed for signs of a reaction in the office. Please discuss though with your Pediatrician.
