A member asked:

Why do i get a headache when i take mucinex d? could i be allergic or is it a side effect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A person is considered "intolerant" of a medication that causes such side effects, not allergic. Here the decongestant added to the Mucinex may be the culprit. Decongestants can elevate heart rate and blood pressure along with other symptoms. The general rule is if it hurts when you do that----don't do that.
