A member asked:

If you have hpv with warts are you always contagious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Those who have active genital warts are considered contagious as long as they are present. They can disappear in a 2 year period from a natural immune response or be removed by laser/chemicals/freezing. There may be residual viral shedding (contagious) for a period after removal from unrecognized tissue sources.Condoms help some when the wart is covered but completely. When all gone=not contagious
