The commonly cited normal for cycle intervals is 21-35 days. Some women are outliers and those with 3-4 menses/year often have difficulty conceiving. Yet I know of one with 3/yr pattern that started having kids after years of trying in her mid 30's & had 3 in 3 years. This can certainly make planning hard, but it does not mean you are out of luck.
