Too many options: This could be normal if the pain is cyclic and pre-menstrual. Or it could be cysts, fibrocystic changes, muscle or rib pain, a poorly fitted bra, just to name a few. You could check for lumps, or nipple discharge and try to figure out if the pain is related to your cycle or some activity. Pain that persists usually warrants a doctor's visit.
