Following a viral intestinal tract infection a transient case of irritable bowel syndrome including recurrent cramps can ensue. It's common to go a few days without BMs if you had severe diarrhea for several days. Diet should be soft solids now. Avoid ice cold liquids that can cause cramps. If steady abdominal pain,especially with associated tenderness, see your MD for evaluation & advice.
