With the increased weight of a growing fetus and size and content of the uterus, a forward tilting uterus may ("anterior") may become settled into a position closer to the spine and what is "felt" may just be abdominal contents formerly displaced by the anterior location, and feel "softer". In any case, this is a normal occurrence.
