A member asked:

Can you only get pregnant during ovulation/fertile window? too many different schools of thought here but what empirical or statistical odds are there when having sex on a non ovulating day vs ovulating day ?

Pregnancy has been documented from exposure on any day of a womans' cycle, including during menses. It is most common midcycle, in those with regular ovulation & patterns of menses. Those with irregular ovulation & menses may conceive at unpredictable times.

Pregnancy is known to have occurred from sex in any and all days of the cycle. On the other hand, sex in the most favorable circumstances results in pregnancy only in one of three episodes. If you do not want to get pregnant use contraception all the time every time. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
