Boric acid has not been studied for its effectiveness for external (like penile) yeast infections. It may help women with vaginal yeast, but even here more effective and reliable treatments are available. You (or he) could try an OTC anti fungal cream; look for products along with those for athlete's foot and jock itch (tinea curries). If that doesn't help, see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment
