A member asked:

If it has been 9 weeks since the last time you had sex, and the result of your blood test is negative, are you definitely not pregnant?

"Home" pregnancy testing is very accurate, so a "negative" is reliable. With delayed ovulation due to stress (emotional, work, etc.) delays in menstruation also occur. Ask your GYN physician about oral bcp's or an IUD for better birth control.

If the test was done correctly and it was negative, you are not pregnant. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex : https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/safer-sex-guidelines Get HPV vaccine.
