A member asked:

I tested positive for chlamydia. my doctor said that since i am bisexual, i should take ciprofloxacin for 10 days; however, symptoms are still present eight days into treatment, is it possible that they prescribed me the wrong medication?

This is the wrong treatment; ciprofloxacin does not reliably cure chlamydia and is not recommended by any expert or public health agency. Being bisexual has no effect on recommended treatments. (I wonder if you're in a country other than the US?) The recommended treatment for everyone is doxycycline twice daily for 7 days. Clarify with your doctor or find a different provider. Good luck.
