I'm three years younger than you, so I understand your concerns. As we age our legs and hips become weaker with arthritis. Neuropathy is common at our age, but a vitamin B12 deficiency or an excess of vitamin B6 could be a cause. Your head injury or any other injuries are one of the main causes. A very common cause is diabetes. See your PCP for further treatment.

Falling is a serious risk as we age, and you may have suffered some brain injury, which needs investigation. If the neuropathy is causing compromise of leg strength and coordination, a search for the cause and appropriate treatment is mandatory. See a neurologist and get all of this diagnosed and handled.
