No: It's false, garlic and milk will not cure giardia. You need tinidazole, metronidazole, nitazoxanide, Albendazole or paromomycin to cure giardia infection. Garlic may slightly decrease your cholesterol level. It will help keep people you don't like and vampires from getting too close to you.
