I have missed my period for 12 days and i think the reason can be stress as there where some major exams going on and also the last sexual activity was a month ago with protection what could be the reason?

Some normal women occasionally miss a cycle or two. Stress may be a contributing factor but it may happen without it. If it doesn't happen after enough time has passed some docs would offer meds to trigger a menses.

It may be due to stress, but if you had sex since your last period, it would be prudent to do a home pregnancy test.
