Can i take coricidin hbp while taking lexapro? i have only taken 1 lexapro (last evening) and don't plan on taking anymore..but is it safe with the one in my system? i have hbp and take losarten 100 mg potassium and hydrochlorathiazied?

Although coricidin hpb eliminates the sympathomimetic molecule which can raise heart rate and blood pressure, the dextromorphan effects in coricidin can cause drowsiness with lexapro on board and also can cause increase in serotonin levels which can result in severe reactions. I say avoid taking coricidin while lexapro is still in your system. Your pharmacist can advise you also.
