The placenta begins to deteriorate after ~ 43 weeks if not sooner and would not sustain a yearlong pregnancy. After sex it takes a couple days for the sperm to encounter and join with an egg in position in the tubes and another couple for that mass to move to the uterus to implant.

Not with a live fetus. It can occur in certain abnormal conditions which are very rare. Implantation takes about a week or so

No, you cannot be pregnant for 12 months. Conception occurs within day or so of the sex. It takes the embryo about 10 days to implant. And it takes 3 weeks for the fetus to make enough HCG for a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period.
