Had a ct scan - one without contrast and one with contrast via iv - done over a month ago. ever since then, ive had terrible, but fluctuating, pain on my left side. i never had the pain prior to my ct, only after. what could be causing this??

CT scans do emit radiation, but in low doses that have nearly no long term effects on the body. Iodine contrast rarely causes acute kidney injury, which occurs within 24 hours of receiving the contrast. Other than those, it is unlikely for the CT itself to cause complications such as pain.
