For constipation - You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Fluids are critical with a high fiber diet as too much fiber with poor fluids will cause constipation. Drink 80-100 ounces of caffeine free/alcohol free fluid every day and do not add additional fiber to your dietary intake.
