Plan B is very effective, particularly if used immediately after unprotected intercourse (the sooner the better), but it is not foolproof. There is still a significant chance of pregnancy if you are ovulating. Needless to say, using effective contraception is the better way to go, although I suspect you already understand that. Good luck.

Plan B is about 95% effective in preventing pregnancy if taken within 72 hour of sex. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time.
