It means something is going on in brain that is not normal such as a seizure. Without seeing the tracing cannot help. Discuss with the EEG-grapher.

This finding is generally non-specific and indicative of paroxysmal activity. It is not pathognomic for any diagnosis but can be noted in migraine and epilepsy. The findings will require clinical correlation.
