With all those symptoms & a negative result for strep, I suspect a viral infection. Just too many symptoms for thrush. ? covid test. You're a little old to have infectious mononucleosis but a blood test would support this diagnosis. At this time rest, drink lots of fluids,gargle with warm salt water, use lozenges, take Tylenol. Check with your MD if no gradual improvement.
