A member asked:

What would cause cervical bone marrow edema lasting longer than 3 years?

I also haven't encountered that finding of neck imagining. I'd like to ask the interpreting radiologist to render a differential diagnosis of that finding or any other concerns that he/she may have. My reading reveals that persistent edema of the cervical bone marrow can be seen in arthritis of the neck facet joints.
