I got my period in the middle of my birth control pack and i am wondering if this is normal. it's extremely heavy and has been over a week now. i have been on the pill for 10 years?

You know it is not normal is why it flagged your attention. However I do not know what may be causing it for you if it is happening 10 years into regular use of the pills. You should schedule an appointment with a gynecologist so you could be evaluated. You may have something that does not pertain to the use of pills that happens to women and then you would at least find out and hopefully managed.
