A member asked:

I had sexual contact by the end of september (just contact without penetration neither ejaculation) and i got my period in 12 october (normal long period 6 days with large flow) . but this month my period due date is 13 november but it's 5 days delay?

Many otherwise regular women can miss a period or two occasionally. When the delay exceeds 60 days an OBGYN may offer meds to trigger menses if a pregnancy test confirms no pregnancy.

Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
