There are many causes of headaches, most are not migraines. The most common cause of headache is dehydration since the brain floats in the cranium and is held up by suspensory ligaments, which contain nerves and hurt when stretched. The other common source is neck tension that causes tendons to pull on the back of skull. Less common causes are sinus or ear infections. See a doc for a complete exam
