MRI orders are usually based on anatomic regions. For instance, if I wanted to see the rectum, coccyx, sacrum, vagina, bladder, and uterus, I could order an MRI of the Pelvis. Depending on the purpose of the MRI, the radiologist may focus their evaluation on a specific region. The ordering provider can inquire with the radiologist after the fact if they did not specifically comment on another area
