Hi how can i differentiate between white coated tongue and oral thrush, i have a white coated on my back of tongue near vallate papillae no pain , no trouble swallowing but feeling like i am swallowing something its only on back of my tongue.? thx?

If you're healthy with no predisposing conditions to thrush, have no discomfort and other parts of the mouth aren't involved, we would call it coating.
