Bacterial vaginosis can be a difficult problem to overcome. By far the most important thing is to find a truly expert doctor, such as a gynecologist who specializes in infectious diseases. Different than usual drugs may help prevent recurrence (e.g. boric acid). If sexually active, consistent condom use can be helpful. If sex with other women, your partner needs treatment for BV. Good luck.
