A member asked:

Medicines right after conception can affect the pregnancy. what about medication (benzodiazepine and pain killers) you only take a week before ovulation? can this have an effect on the eggs and therefore the possible fertilization a week later?

No, they should not. There are certain medications which can affect the fetus after the conception if those are continued to be used such as ACEi or ARB for blood pressure. With some medications such as mycophenolate, isotretinoin, etc. you have to sign a paper to confirm that you will not get pregnant when taking them but not benzodiazepine or NSAID & narcotic analgesics.
