If the "birth control" is low dose oral bcp's, taking the active pill within the hour of having taken the previous day's active pill will correct what may be withdrawal bleeding from lack of punctuality taking the active pills. Stop the present pack, wait 5-6 days, and start a new pack, taking the active pills as described. If unsuccessful, ask your GYN about other strengths of oral bcp's.
