I had kyphoplasty 4 weeks ago and there are 2 small stitches where the needles went in. is that normal? i don't know why there are stitches. i don't see my doctor for another 3 weeks?

Kyphoplasty may require about a half inch incision in some cases. I don't think your stitches should stay in place for more than 7-10 days. Call your MD for instructions.

After this majority of surgeries there are stitches. Things to be concerned about would be significant pain or redness or pus straining from the area. If you’re not having any symptoms discuss them with your surgeon at your follow up visit in three weeks.
