Is a doctors urine blood test the same as a home pregnacy test or will it measure specifically the amount of hCG rather than just its presence?

Got a Positive DIGITAL urine pregnancy test at home (said pregnant) went to doctor on the same day and got a negative urine test, less than 1 blood hcg, and empty ultrasound. Also got my period two days later. Why was the digital home test positive ?
