A member asked:

Hi i have a slightly elevated sgpt(alt) but ggt, bilirubin, alp and albumin are all normal . does this point more towards muscle damage than liver damage ? 35yo non drinker . workout 3 times a week thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How much elevated? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if the ALT is not above 100, you may watch and wait. It would have helped had you provided the actual value. Wish you good health!
