No.: I am not aware of any association between grave's disease and aortic aneurysm. Most often aortic aneurysm is associated with cigarette smoking.

None. : Aortic aneurysms are not part of the clinical consequences of grave's disease. The most common risk factors for aortic aneurysms is smoking and high blood pressure. There is definitely a component of inheritance. It is also found in patients who have inherited connective tissue disorders such as Marfan or ehlers-danlos syndromes. Be sure to follow up with a vascular surgeon regularly!

Possibly.: Graves' disease, or any cause of hyperthyroidism, would not cause a weak spot in the aortic wall, or aneurysm, to form. However, if one was already there, hyperthyroidism could cause it to grow faster than usual, because hyperthyroidism can cause wide pulse pressure (difference btw top & bottom BP numbers) that increases stress on aortic wall. Talk to your doctors & monitor closely.
