Can a graves disease patient receive iodine contrast for a ct?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

People with Graves disease should not be given iodine contrast. It is the same for people with asthma, poor kidney function, multiple allergies. hyperthyroidism or Graves disease. In Graves disease, the contrast can increase the inflammation and the eye problems that are associated with Graves disease.
