idiopathic v fib is basically a diagnosis of exclusion which means that predisposing triggers were not found. However. in more modern times more triggers are identified such as an abnormal resting EKG showing long QTc interval or Brugada patterns, echocardiogram findings of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, or family history of sudden deaths or frequent fainting, low potassium states, etc. Don't worry!
