Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease from contact of a syphilis sore during anal, oral, and vaginal sex. Also transmission is possible from blood transfusion and blood components. The bacteria doesn't survive on clothes, toilet seats, doorknobs, hot tubs and eating utensils. Be aware and practice safe sex.
