What's the best way to treat big toe pain, from what seems to be a white dot on the tip of my toe and what looks like bruising and tenderness? i haven't hit on anything, it just started hurting about a week ago?

"Big toe pain" may arise from nail penetration on the side of the toenail, causing tenderness and possibly bruising. See a podiatrist first for evaluation and trimming of divergent nail secondary to possible "ingrown toenail".
