A member asked:

My daughter has chest pain in exertion followed by dizziness shortness of breath and arm pain she complain about it every time she walks up the stairs or is doing sports class and with everyday activities. i'm thinking angina but she's too young?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Angina is low on the list of many things that cause these symptoms at that age. If they are interfering with her activities, it is worth a visit to her doc to sort out the many possibilities. A full review of the history of symptom emergence, intensity, duration and quality of pain, factors that increase or reduce intensity, etc. are all part of the initial evaluation. Some testing is also needed.
